Back in 2012, Liu Qian sought a deck that would “obey his every command”. He collaborated with Si Scott, designer of Smoke & Mirror, who used a dip pen to draw a silent chameleon — the original SPAR, a sharp weapon for magic.
Thirteen years later, Liu Qian teamed up with designer Lunzi to bring this chameleon to vivid life.

The unicycle-riding Joker features two stacked chameleons forming a whimsical balanced composition. Its long tongue coils around the 3 of diamonds, hiding subtle creative details on the card face.
The chameleon serves as a metaphor for magic, embodying the essence of disguise and illusion. Wandering across surreal scenes and curling around heart suits, it transcends simple symbolic graphics, weaving philosophical thoughts of magic into every tiny detail of the deck with playful, surreal creativity.
